-EDIT- Hello again! I'm a little stumped...I really, really would like to post some deviations...but there isn't much I've done that can count as art. Can anyone help me think of things I've done that might work, so I can really use this account? -END EDIT-

Hello, everyone. My name is Katara. I hear that a lot of you already know a lot about my traveling with the Avatar. It's strange to see everything that people have done for and about us - I didn't even really understand the concept of a "fan," beyond those little girls who followed Aang around. But now I do!

Anyway, I wanted to explain a little about what I do - which is waterbending, and training Aang to waterbend.

Bending...it's really interesting. It's not just something you're born with, but it's not something you can learn, either. It's like...a spiritual connection that you have to learn to develop. And no matter how much or how little you start with, you always need training. Kind of like with any art - if you have a little talent, and work very very very hard, you may improve, but you'll never be amazing. But if you have a lot of talent and never work on it, you won't be the best, either. You have to have great talent and great dedication to be a master bender, or a master artist. In a way, bending is art. But like Aang said recently, it's beautiful...but it's still fighting at its core, which is important to remember.

It's something I was always able to do...but I had to learn how to do it -well-. Aang is the same. As the Avatar, he's born with the ability to use all four elements. But that doesn't mean he knew what to do with them before he had training.

On an entirely different subject, a few of you have asked me about "Zutara" and "KAtaang" and all this other stuff about "shipping." Well, I went and found out what all that is, and you want to know what I think? I think that they're my feelings, and I should be allowed to keep them to myself if I want! It's something I need to sort out on my OWN. Even IF I came out and chose one, which I won't be doing very soon at ALL, it wouldn't be to you guys...it'd be to the person I had feelings for. And besides...I have friends who are "Zutarian" AND "Kataang" - there's no point in alienating either of them just yet.

*harrumph*

Right now? What do I think of them? I am really proud of Aang and all the growing up he's done. He truly is the Avatar, and my best friend.

Zuko? I don't want to talk about him.
